MR. PRAFULLA NILOSEY
Retd Vice President HR - Larsen & Toubro (Heavy Engineering) : After graduating with distinction in Mechanical Engineering from Maulana Azad College of Technology, Bhopal, Mr. Nilosey started his career with Hindustan Copper, Khetri, Rajasthan in 1971. After seven years, the lure for design pulled him from the PSU to the challenging role in McNally Bharat in Bihar. There he was involved in design and project engineering for several mineral processing equipment and plants. The eleven year stint at McNally Bharat was an enriching period where he matured to managerial positions. During this period, he also acquired his Diploma in Management from AIMA. In 1990, he left McNally Bharat to join Larsen & Toubro’s budding Hazira facility, which is now one of the world’s top five facilities in its class, as Manager –Design. After 16 years in Hazira, during which he headed design, marketing , strategic business unit for Refinery & Cracker Equipment, and Technical & Administrative Services L&T, Hazira, In 2006, he moved to Powai, to head HR for L&T’s Heavy Engineering Division, the position he holds currently. Mr. Nilosey believe that like safety and quality, HR is everybody’s business and every manager is a HR manager. He believes that HR is an integral part of the business and must work to build people capabilities to align with business plans. HR must think ahead, to constantly be in tune with business on one hand and the people on the other. He trusts young generation for their capabilities. But the organizations must have good leaders who can make ordinary people do extra-ordinary things. A team builder, mentor and motivator, Mr. Nilosey works closely with academia. He is on the senate of SVNIT, Surat, a member of the Management Committee of L&T Institute of Technology, Mumbai and some other social bodies. He is also a member of Institution of Engineers and Indian Institute of Mineral Engineers.
MR. KANWAL KRISHEN MUTHU
He has over 10 years of teaching experience at NIT Srinagar and IIT Delhi. He has also spent over 22 years’ in the automobile, tyres, electronics industry and served in corporate houses including Kelvinator, Goodyear, Hero Honda, Weston Electronics, Munjal Showa, Lumax Industries, and Mohan Exports in Executive Director, President, Chief Executive capacity . Over the last 16 years, his forte has been in Benchmarking, BPR, HR, Change Management, TQM, Quality Circles, Leadership, Team Building, Business Communications, Competencies, People Management ; Japanese Management Techniques, Operations Effectiveness, Value Engineering and Cost Rationalization. Has 17,000 hours of training experience. As an associate of several consulting organizations, he has been an assessor for Corporates such as Indian Hotels (Taj Group ) / JK Corporation / LG Electronics / Novartis / SRF / Minda / Lupin Pharma. He would have clocked about 250 Centers cutting across Hierarchies in Assessment and Development Centers. He has Forty (40) publications in various technical journals, Four (4) video films (One on TQM; telecast on Door-Darshan in 1994) and has co-authored one book with two colleagues from IIT Delhi. He has been the recipient of 'Ramaswamy Cup’, and “Veteran Industrial Engineer” by IIIE for outstanding contribution to the profession of Industrial Engineering and was conferred, “Indian Achievers Award 2012 ".
